Ten Boxes of Love

Throughout 2018, we are celebrating Ten Years of Exquisite Details!

We are proud of our unique gift designs + special collaborations over the years – and – some things are worth sharing again.

These ten special boxes of love captured the heart of a special lady!To commemorate a special ten-year wedding anniversary in 2016, the talented Judy Lynn of Mirabelle Studio was commissioned to create ten keepsake boxes; handmade boxes that would contain ten special messages to be gifted over the course of a ten-day anniversary holiday in Wailea, Maui, Hawaii.

Each morning on the ten-day holiday, a unique box, graced with custom Hawaiian-inspired fabric, was given + contained a love note and celebration card commemorating favorite Hawaiian songs.

Each box represented one clue + “one piece of a larger ten-piece puzzle” that once all ten boxes were received, a four-sided puzzle revealed special anniversary messages and unique graphics, memorable to the anniversary couple.

The Beauty of Bien Fait

Joi Hunt is the talented calligraphy artist behind Bien Fait Calligraphy. Based in Lake Forest, on the north shore of Chicago, Illinois, Joi’s work is simply divine.

As our newest Preferred Partner for The Huestudio + Company, we love the elegance and exquisite details in every design.

With a love of color, texture, the glisten of wet ink and the nib gliding across paper, pointed pen calligraphy is the perfect blend of everything Joi loves in the special creations of something beautiful, inspiring and meaningful for her discerning clients.

Fortunate to have studied with Master Penman and Master Calligraphers, Joi has earned a Certificate of Calligraphy in Copperplate from the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society of the UK (CLAS). She regularly pours over gorgeous historical exemplars from penman’s of the past, and interprets them for how calligraphy is used today.

Five Things to Know About Us

Happy May 2017! As we begin the fifth month of 2017, we thought it was time for you to get to know us better.

Here are five (5) unique things you may or may not know about us at The Huestudio + Company.

We love luscious flowers. All types. All colors. All varieties. But, we especially love orchids, peonies and tulips. April showers do bring May flowers and The Flower Studio, a long time preferred partner, always delivers and never disappoints!

“Help us to be ever faithful gardeners of the spirit, who know that without darkness nothing comes to birth, and without light nothing flowers.”

– May Sarton

We love to travel. Anywhere. Everywhere. Anytime. Whether for exotic destination weddings or private events abroad, our whimsical bags are always ready + packed. We especially love our adventures with Very Troubled Child travel bags + colorful Kilim “Flying Carpet Shoes” by Artemis Design Co.

“I see my path, but I don’t know where it leads. Not knowing where I’m going is what inspires me to travel it.”

– Rosalia de Castro

We love inspirational quotes. Words matter. Often, the thoughts and talents of others have just the right words to communicate what we are thinking and feeling. Whether for event stationery or wedding invitations, connect with us on Instagram to see how we are daily inspired.

“At the beginning of a new project, often before I do any actual writing, I collect photos, quotes, song lyrics, and even objects that relate to the characters or the world I’m creating.”

– Kami Garcia

We love color. All colors. Each and every color. Our attraction and love for bright + bold; patterns + textures are immense. Each and every month we proudly select and feature a color to spotlight. For May 2017, we selected Moonstone. Typically colorless, Moonstone complements our Q2 quarterly spotlight of Air, one of the four elements forming our universe.

“Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the air and you.”

– Langston Hughes

We love our Preferred Partners. As beloved creative collaborators of our + Company, each artisan has been personally hand-selected and exclusively invited to partner with us on select event experiences. Explore our elite listing knowing they represent the passion, power and perfection of  “our plus” in The Huestudio + Company.

New Beginnings | Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Happy January 2017!

“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.”

– Rainer Maria Rilke

We begin 2017 with our new quarterly spotlights highlighting colors of Earth, Air, Fire and Water, four elements forming our universe.

We hope to inspire you each month + each quarter with new elements, fresh perspectives, creative + innovative offerings – and –  our distinctive, exquisitely-curated event experiences to explore and examine color differently and uniquely.

For Q1, we begin with Mother Earth and a color spotlight on Sand!

Sand, a pale yellowish brown color, is a loose granular substance resulting from erosion of siliceous and other rocks. Sand forms gorgeous beaches, seabeds, riverbeds and vast deserts around our globe; perfect destinations to wanderlust.

With upcoming adventures and travels throughout the month of January, delight in our vision of sand for innovative uses in event experiences, including color variations of sand, from around our globe.

As Rachel Carson stated, “In every outthrust headland, in every curving beach, in every grain of sand there is the story of the earth.”

How will you tell your story throughout 2017?

Sarah + Nick | Wedding Wishes!

We love weddings and ensuring your special day is exquisitely designed and flawlessly executed. Be inspired by Sarah + Nick, a special August wedding couple!

With a love for music and life itself, Sarah + Nick are the perfect pair. Knowing intimately what they desired for their special wedding day, every thoughtful and special detail, was evident.

The delightful couple’s family and friends gathered at The Byron Colby Barn for a beautiful celebration of love. Sarah + Nick exchanged vows underneath an arch customized by the bride’s mother’s veil, hydrangeas, birch branches, baby’s breath and lace, as their favorite music, custom arranged by Nick, provided a soundtrack of endearing love.

The space glowed from top to bottom with baby’s breath, garden roses and twinkle lights hanging from the barn’s beams. Hand-crafted escort cards were presented on large burlap frames clipped by clothespins, and tables were graced with large vinyl records, with names of Sarah + Nick’s favorite bands. Between bites of a grand family-style meal, macaroons, cupcakes and fresh homemade mini pies from Sweet Discoveries and Sugar Fixe delighted all. Guests partied the night away to a musical soundtrack, custom selected and arranged by Nick, and at evening’s end, Sarah + Nick packaged their favorite music in custom CD cases for special and memorable guest favors.

To Be One With Each Other

What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen each other in all labor, to minister to each other in all sorrow, to share with each other in all gladness, to be one with each other in the silent unspoken memories?

– George Eliot
